Convoy of Hope Hawaii in conjunction with businesses, community organizations, and local churches, will host an outreach event that will distribute over 35,000 pounds of food to provide meals to feed thousands of people in need in Oahu. The event will also include a free lunch, live entertainment, children’s carnival, medical and dental services, community services, free medical screenings, free haircuts, free family portraits, and more. This event will bring together over 700 volunteers to do something positive to combat some of the growing problems of the community (homelessness, joblessness, lack of opportunities, hunger, medical and dental problems with lack of medical care, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, lack of contact with and inadequate social services, lack of educational opportunities, lack of positive role models).
