Aloha and welcome to the HPHA Legislative and Government Relations Committee page!

Our Mission Statement: To improve public health issues in Hawaii, guided by the expertise of HPHA members, by providing informed & evidence-based legislative testimony and providing a voice on key initiatives in policy and various legislative efforts.

Our committee is currently comprised of over 20 active members. For the spring semester, we hosted two student interns from Hawaii Pacific University for their undergraduate practicum experience. During the 2016 Legislative Session, the HPHA Legislative and Government Relations Committee submitted a total of 33 testimonies, representing 15 bills.
